Low Carb Golden Milk Turmeric Smoothie Recipe – Keto, Paleo, Gluten Free
Turmeric (or Curcumin) is well-known for its anti-inflammatory action, and many health benefits.
Growing up, I’ve always enjoyed the distinct spicy earthy flavor of ground turmeric in curries. But I had never thought to consume it as a soothing drink (also known as golden milk latte).

One of the first turmeric teas I tried was this 5-Minute Golden Milk Recipe by Wellness Mama. This cup of golden milk was so delicious, soothing and calming for a night time treat.
I especially felt great about drinking it in the evenings since it’s caffeine free.
And so my obsession with turmeric drinks began, especially when it came to this Turmeric Rooibos Caffeine Free Tea.
Then, of course, I decided to add this wonderful ancient spice to my morning smoothie. I typically combine mango, avocado and almond milk for a creamy nutritious smoothie.
However, I wanted to make this smoothie was low carb and keto-friendly, so out went the mango and honey (both ingredients tend to be high in carbs).
Instead, this concoction is a clean low carb smoothie that still possesses the smooth creamy texture from the avocado but also a hint of coconut and spice.
There is nothing not to love about this turmeric drink recipe. It’s a great way to start your day with healthy fats and anti-inflammatory gut healing ingredients that can easily replace breakfast. It’s gluten free, grain free and paleo.
I hope you love it as much as I do.
